Magnetic clutch

Jul 24, 2017

In the active and driven between the magnetic material, no power when the magnetic powder in a loose state, when the magnetic powder combination, the active parts and driven parts at the same time rotation. Advantages: Adjust the torque by adjusting the current, allowing a larger slip. Disadvantages: large slip when the temperature rise is relatively large, relatively high prices.

Slip-type electromagnetic clutch: clutch work, the main and the part must have a speed difference between the torque transmission. The torque magnitude depends on the magnetic field strength and the speed difference. The excitation current remains constant, the speed increases with the torque and decreased; torque remains unchanged, the excitation current decreases, the speed decreases more seriously.

Slip-type electromagnetic clutch due to the main and driven parts without any mechanical connection, no wear and tear consumption, no magnetic powder leakage, no impact, adjust the excitation current can change the speed, for the use of CVT, which is its advantages. The main drawback of the clutch is that the eddy current in the rotor generates heat, which is proportional to the speed difference. Low-speed operation of the efficiency is very low, the efficiency value of the main, driven shaft speed ratio, that η = n2 / n1.

A mechanical transmission system suitable for high frequency operation can be used to engage or separate the driven part with the active part in the case of active part operation.

When the active member and the follower are in the separated state, the driving member rotates and the follower is stationary; the driving member is engaged with the driven member, and the driven member is driven to rotate between the driving member.

Widely used in machine tools, packaging, printing, textile, light industry, and office equipment.

Electromagnetic clutch is generally used for ambient temperature -20-50 ℃, humidity less than 85%, no explosion hazard medium, the coil voltage fluctuations do not exceed the rated voltage of ± 5%.
